Transportation Home is now available to any student enrolled in our after school programs. The buses run the normal route provided by the Bandon School District!

Math Mentors is always accepting new students. This program was designed to not only help students with their math homework but also help with math fluency, strengthening knowledge in math facts and other concepts students need to be successful. We are excited to implement Singapore Math aligning with their current common core curriculum, but introducing real life math concepts, group challenges and fun approach to encourage problem solving skills. Math Mentors is available to any HLMS student Monday-Thursday, 3:30-5:30 pm, with transportation home provided.

Media and News Club is always accepting new students. This club is responsible for writing and producing the Panther Post, internet blogging and capturing student life through photojournalism. WE are looking for new members who are interested in writing about HLMS, community events, school sports and student life. We have cameras available to students interested in photography. They can be checked out weekly to capture school and community events. M & N Club is available to any HLMS student, Club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30, with transportation home provided.

**HLMS students do not have to be club members to submit short stories, school/community news or pictures. Students can email submissions to charissa@bandonyouth.org.

Cooking Club is working with OSU Kids in the Kitchen Program. They are learning kitchen etiquette, healthy eating habits, safety and hands on preparation of meals. Every week students are preparing recipes from OSU foodhero.org in hopes of sharing at home with their families. Cooking Club is available to HLMS students 6th-8th grade. Club meets in the Bandon High School Culinary Arts Room on Tuesdays, 3:30-5:30, with transportation home provided. Coyote Stories is our newest program, will be starting January 10th. It’s a program for youth to create an expression of a story about the place in which we live, told through the arts. Performance and various media will tell a specific story developed by students. Information and inspiration will be derived through history research, observations of natural world and through old stories. Club meets at The Pod located behind HLMS, next to the greenhouse on Thursdays, 3:30-5:30, with transportation home provided.
